T. Dallas Smith
Chief Operating Officer, BOJ, L.L.C.
T. Dallas Smith has been in the Atlanta Commercial Real Estate scene for over
20 Years. He began his career in 1982 with Atlanta Air Center Realty, a
development company headed by Thomas W. Tift, Jr. of the Tifton, Georgia and
Tift College Family. At the time, he was a young student in college at Georgia
State University and by the time he graduated, he had successfully carved his
niche in the Atlanta real estate market.
As the first African American to work with Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia,
Mr. Smith participated in the record-breaking transaction that was reported by
the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the "largest office lease done in the
shortest time frame." This deal for the Georgia Lottery was completed in thirty
days. Convinced there was a greater need for an African-American full service
real estate company, Mr. Smith called on Herman J. Russell of H.J. Russell
& Company, the largest African-American real estate and development company
in the United States, and launched their Brokerage/Real Estate Services
Division. His work with H.J. Russell included various projects with BellSouth,
Walgreen's, and General Motors. As the Chief Operating Officer of BOJ, L.L.C.,
Mr. Smith brokered the deal between Stephen Macauley and Brian Jordan that has
evolved into Le Jardin.
