Stephen H. Macauley
President, The Macauley Companies
Stephen Macauley was born in Watford, England and is a graduate of the Georgia
Institute of Technology. He is a leader in creating and developing communities
that strive to enhance the quality of neighborhood life, while protecting the
environment. Since he founded the company two decades ago, The Macauley
Companies has successfully launched over 32 communities with 10,000 homesites,
including his Town ParkT communities
such as Legacy Park and Ridenour in Cobb County, Walden Park and Lakes of Cedar
Grove in South Fulton, and Harmony on the Lakes in Cherokee County. Regional
planners and environmental groups have recognized each of these communities as
the standard for smart growth in Metro Atlanta.
Honored with numerous awards and distinctions, including the Atlanta Regional
Commission's prestigious recognition of Ridenour as "A Community of
Excellence". Mr. Macauley has participated in Leadership Atlanta, and is a past
president of the
Marietta Kiwanis Club. He has also served with many other important civic and
charitable organizations including Chairman of The Commerce Club's New Century
Forum, The Commerce Club's Operating Board, Urban Land Institute's Smart Growth
Committee and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
