Daniel R. Meachum

Daniel R. Meachum has practiced law for over twenty-five years. With only two defeats in over 125 trials, he is considered by his peers to be a fierce litigator. After completing Howard University Law School and receiving his Masters of International Law (L.L.M.) from the University of Brussels, Mr. Meachum began his career at the U.S. Attorneys office in the southern district of New York. He later practiced law in Philadelphia where he represented Temple University, Mayor Wilson Goode, and prominent businessperson Ronald "Butch" Lewis. He also served as Vice President and General Counsel of an entertainment company owned by Mr. Lewis.
In Atlanta, Mr. Meachum has personally served Herman J. Russell, Jesse Hill, and Felker Ward. Known locally as the "The Big 3", these legendary African-American power brokers consulted extensively with Mr. Meachum on all issues ranging from Mergers and Acquisitions to Real Estate and employment issues. Through those relationships, he represented real estate lenders such as Wachovia, Chase, Country Wide, HomeBanc and other financial institutions. Mr. Meachum's client list now owns his own firm, Daniel R. Meachum & Associates. With clientele such as Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington, Atlanta Hawks' Josh Smith and the Minnesota Vikings' Kelly Campbell, Mr. Meachum is one of the most respected attorneys in his profession. He is a native of Badin, North Carolina.
