Hey y’all, I just wanted to give you a quick update. Remember I was talking about needing to wash my windows? I not only finished the windows, I conquered them like a boss. I strapped into my gear, and scaled the side of the house like a beast. Here is a quick pic of me washing the windows.
Just kidding that is not me, but I like being a jokester.
I wanted to share with you the recipe that I used to make my homemade window washing solution. It turned out great, the windows are sparkling like never before, and the solution was so easy and inexpensive to make. I loved the outcome so much I wanted to share it with you as well.
Window Cleaning Recipe
- ¼ cup – white vinegar
- ¼ cup – ammonia
- ½ bucket – warm water
I used a normal squeegee and this window washing thing…not sure what it was called, but I picked it up at the local Home Depot. So here are the steps for how I washed these windows. You can follow these, or you can live on the edge and make up your own routine.
I chose this patter for a reason. I started inside and upstairs, just because I wanted to start somewhere.
Then my thought process was that if washed the upstairs outside windows the water could drip on the windows below and it would not matter since I would wash those last.
I then went inside to wash the lower floor windows while I let the outside dry, just so if there were any drips left, they would dry while I was inside cleaning.
And then of course I finished by washing the lower floor windows on the outside. It all worked perfect, and the windows were sparkling clean.
